Lifts feature a stiff steel tube frame spine supporting the drive end, enclosure, centrally located stabilizer mount, base rotation boom and platform end axle. The main frame acts as the hydraulic fluid reservoir simplifying hosing runs throughout the lift.
The enclosure includes separate insulated engine compartment and isolated hydraulic/electric compartment to reduce heat and provide easier access for serviceability. Platform controls operate all lift functions. Ground controls duplicate all boom and stabilizer functions and can be used for setup/service or operator override for an incapacitated operator. Ground controls do not include the drive/steer functions. All lift hydraulic function controls include manual overrides.
The EFI (electronic fuel injected) engine assures reliable starting from Start/ESTOP pushbuttons in the platform or key switch operation at the Main Control Panel. Engine speed is automatically controlled by platform joystick or ground control Enable function. EFI engine control reduces noise, reduces heat and reduces fuel consumption (approx 20%).
The multi-section boom uses non-greaseable, high strength nylon pin bushings. Cylinders include counterbalance holding valves. Joystick positioning controls can activate multiple cylinders simultaneously by operator choice to speed boom operation. Quick reach feature allows Upper Boom stick operation to approx 20’ without deploying the stabilizers. When needed SWIFT set-up, self-leveling stabilizers deploy individually, each sense ground contact and raise and level the lift frame at operator direction. With raised boom the system alerts the operator if a stabilizer has lost firm contact on soft ground, stops boom operation and allows resetting that stabilizer while maintaining boom position without lowering.
The operator’s aluminum platform is lightweight, includes a integral tool tray and optional 120VAC GFCI outlet and/or pressure washer connections connected to inputs at the main frame. Operator’s platform controls include dual axis joystick for either drive or boom functions based on mode selection, stabilizer extend/retract pushbuttons, engine start/ESTOP pushbuttons and Upper/Lower Boom override pushbuttons to alter joystick boom reactions.
